Ricardo Polo taught himself to build software as a teenager in Colombia. He was a Microsoft Student Partner at 17, joined Microsoft at 19, and founded his first company at 20. Today he is the co-founder and CEO of Braintu, which builds AI products for specific industries, from customer service on WhatsApp to restaurants, florists and schools.
Before Braintu he founded Boardgent, a cloud platform for managing corporate computers built on Intel vPro technology. He raised venture capital from Chile Ventures and led the company until its acquisition by Auvik Networks in 2022, then spent two years at Auvik as a senior product manager integrating Boardgent and building machine learning and LLM products.
He started Tulpep in 2012, an IT consultancy that delivered technology projects for governments and corporations across Latin America, and led it from CTO to CEO until 2020, when he left to focus on Boardgent. Intel named Tulpep its 2018 Partner of the Year for PC Client Solution, for Vtul, the product that became Boardgent.
